Lives in Brooklyn, New York.

Charles directed and produced a series of documentary films about water scarcity and climate change in Bhutan as a National Geographic Explorer. These films screened at the PBS Short Film Festival, Sidewalk Film Festival, and CAAMFest, where it won the Loni Ding Award in Social Issue Documentary.

His screenplay, Laws of Attraction, was a semifinalist for the Antigravity Short Film Grant (2025) and quarterfinalist for the Page Awards (2025). His online writing has been featured in Scientific American, the Council on Foreign Relations, and Slackjaw.
